2KN on television

They've done it. 2KN was on television, showing off their gorgeous designs on a popular morning talk show in Israel. I am so proud of them. http://www.2kn.biz/articles.asp

Crossing things off the "to do knit list"

This weekend, I focused on more project completions and finally finished my Seashell Lace Neck Warmer. I knit it with two strands of a delicious shade of Artyarns Cashmere 2, a pale pink and green combination and used a matching Regal silk (same colorway) to craft the i- cord tie. Will post a photo soon. I made some more felted bowls and worked on and almost finished my daughter's Misti Alpaca sport weight fingerless gloves. I chose to knit these on dps US sizes 3 and 4- just love those small needles. I got some US 1's and they are so neat. Can't wait to try something with them. Much as I adore the speed of larger needles, delicate knits on small needles are so much fun and I've tried some lace with them and wow, these produce the most fine knits.

Looking forward to the beginning of my socks' workshop that begins tomorrow (or is that today, already?) and some more workshops up at Stratton Ski Resort later in the month. Yarns for Your Soul in Manchester, Vt will be sponsoring them once again. The Salons have been popular and I am enjoying all of the many knitters and crocheters who have joined us.

The Ethelridge Road Knitting Salon updates

Here's the latest Salon news. Sunday's Lace Workshop was just wonderful - so much so that I look forward to repeating it again in the near future. The spinning workshop is now scheduled for late April or early May. Keep watching for details and exact date. This special workshop will offer lots of hands on assistance. Everyone will work on their own wheel. I can't wait. I have been away from my own spinning wheel too long.

The 3 class socks workshop will begin next Monday, February 11 at 1PM. The 2 subsequent classes, (February 25 and March 3) will also be 2 hours each and each class will cover a different portion of sock construction. For more details , watch your email or email me at knittingarts1@yahoo.com for additional information.

KUTI or "Knitting Under the Influence," the knitting group that meets in White Plains will be attending a special Salon here Tuesday evening at 6:30PM. Friday, February 8 will be our regular Friday morning Salon and Wednesday, February 13 at 7:30 PM will be an evening Salon.

Mom's Blue Cashmere Cabled scarf completed.

I have fine-tuned my gorgeous cashmere cabled scarf that I lovingly knitted for my mother last year. I have posted this photo for all to see how the completed version looks. It was difficult to part with, but seeing how much my mother loved it when I finally bestowed it on her for her 83rd birthday this past November was worth it. The blue matches her eyes. They sparkle with the reflection from this special muffler knit with lots of love.
